I started training 9 years ago with the goal of getting stronger and building more confidence in the gym, and have since competed in powerlifting, tennis and enjoy martial arts. I love all aspects of fitness and competition and enjoy helping people through the same problems that I once struggled with. I did my first powerlifting competition at 16 years old, and since then have gone on to compete for Great Britain and broken multiple nationals records. Throughout that time I have had to overcome different obstacles, whether that be fixing my deadlift technique or overcoming a bench plateau, which has helped in my approach to coaching others. I started coaching 6 years ago at my university club and have helped people competing from regional up to national level, which has informed my coaching practice and philosophy. I enjoy working with people from all backgrounds with varying goals and try to make the coaching experience a collaborative and fun process. I don’t believe in a one size fits all approach and treat every client’s situation differently. Whether you are looking to compete in powerlifting or just want to get out of the house and move and learn to enjoy the gym, I can help you move closer to your fitness goals. I believe in slowly helping my clients to build a level of independence and autonomy in the gym, which allows them to train independently down the line. I think health and fitness is an important component of a great life and love helping people get there.
